From December 5 to 9, 2021, the 6th International Scientific Conference “Nonlocal Boundary Value Problems and Related Problems in Mathematical Biology, Informatics , and Physics” (B&NAK 2021) was held in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (Nalchik-Elbrus).
The conference has been held regularly since 1996 and is devoted to current issues in modern analysis and the theory of differential equations, fractional calculus, mathematical modeling, and various applications. The previous, fifth conference was held in 2018 and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Adam Maremovich Nakhushev.
This year’s co-organizers of the conference were: the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS (Novosibirsk, Russia), the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty, Kazakhstan), and the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics, Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov (Nalchik, Russia) and the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Automation, Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Nalchik, Russia).
The book “Life is Fractal: Memories of Adam Maremovich Nakhushev,” prepared by the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Automation of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was published in time for the Conference. The book is dedicated to Adam Maremovich Nakhushev, an outstanding scientist and organizer of science. It includes biographical materials and recollections from friends, colleagues, and students.
